President Rodrigo Duterte said that communist rebels allegedly insisted on releasing their hostages or “prisoners of war” to his youngest son, Sebastian or Baste, so they could kiss him.

On Saturday, February 23, in a speech during PDP-Laban’s campaign rally, the President claimed that some members of the New People’s Army had hots for Baste as around 40 percent of their group was gay.

I mean ano lang ‘yan eh. It’s a — a tag. Actually, as they’re — as natural as…

The President said he asked Baste on how the turnover went, to which the younger Duterte said he was buzzed on the cheeks by the communists’ members.

“I was kissed by everyone’. ‘Oh, so you were abused’. He said, ‘Yes, everyone got to kiss me’”, Duterte said quoting Baste.

The rebels turned over two soldiers and six militiamen whom they held hostages for months to former Special Assistant to the President Christopher Lawrence “Bong” Go and Baste in a formal ceremony held in the hinterlands of Barangay San Juan.

Gihalik-halikan ako tapos ‘yung lahat…,'” Duterte quoted his son as saying.

The President joked that his son was “abused” by the rebels.

“Sabi niya, ‘Oo, lahat nakahalik.” Okay ‘yan, makatikim ka rin ng halik ng bakla, mas masarap,'” he said.
