Manila, Philippines - The Office of the Vice President Leni Robredo has confirmed that it has not received an invitation to the gala dinner with the ASEAN delegates last night.

Reports said that she was not present as well during the welcome ceremony for the arriving leaders which usually is a task assigned to the Vice President.

Meanwhile, former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo welcomed some of the leaders who arrived at the Clark International Airport on Saturday.

Among the guests she welcomed are Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen and Myanmar State Counsellor Aung San Suu Kyi, who had a dinner at the Midori hotel and Casino at around 7:30 in the evening.

The Pampanga Rep., in her speech at the dinner, she lauded the Philippines’ deepening relations with Cambodia and Mynmar.

“It is an auspicious time for the Philippine-Cambodia and Philippine-Myanmar ties as we’re on the heel of celebrating the 60th anniversary of the formal establishment of our bilateral relations,” Arroyo said in her toast.

On the other hand, despite of not receiving an invitation to the gala, Robredo is still set to attend the opening ceremony of the ASEAN summit at the Philippine International Convention Center today, Monday.
