Manila, Philippines - Philippine National Police (PNP) chief Gen. Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa warned for possible collision between the authorities and militants if these groups insist on invading the venue for ASEAN summit.

The PNP chief said that protesters should avoid the places such as Clark Freeport, EDSA, Roxas Boulevard, CCP Complex, Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), and other areas on locked down.

These areas should be avoided due to the activities for the world’s biggest event hosted by the Philippines.

Dela Rosa added that policemen will still implement maximum tolerance against the militant groups.
The authorities assigned 60,000 security personnel from 21 government agencies in the country and that includes PNP, Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), Bureau of Fire and Protection (BFP), and the Armed Forces of the Philippines who were deployed in Metro Manila and Clark Pampanga.

On the other hand, Dela Rosa said that authorities are not seeing any threats for the 31st ASEAN summit.
