The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) agents arrested Kenneth Dong on Tuesday afternoon, the alleged middleman in P6.4 shabu shipment smuggled from China for a rape charge.

Dong was arrested shortly after the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee ended its four-hour hearing where he testified.

"We have a warrant against him for rape," NBI Spokesperson Ferdinand Lavina said in a media briefing.

Lavina also said that the case was filed before a court in Parañaque City but declined to give further details.

Meanwhile, NBI Deputy Director for Intelligence Jun De Guzman said: "Considering Kenneth Dong is one of the resource person at the Senate, we conducted record check on his person, and we found out he has a pending warrant for his arrest,"
