Manila, Philippines - On Saturday, the Caloocan City Police Station presented a drug suspect claiming that he had almost daily drug transactions with Kian Delos Santos, the slain teenager during a drug operation in Caloocan.

In a report on 24 Oras, a drug suspect identified as Lando said that Delos Santos was a drug runner of a certain Neneng, who is now also a subject of the police’s follow up operations.

"Ganon po talaga 'yung nangyari. Tatlong buwan pa lang po. kasi bago pa lang po ko nagganyan eh... ganon na droga,” he said.

According to Caloocan police, Lando was arrested on Thursday, a day after the drug raid in Barangay 160 where Delos Santos was killed.

The Caloocan police though refused to provide further details about the supposed drug transactions between Delos Santos and Lando.

Also, according to the report, the Caloocan City police insisted that it was not Delos Santos the policemen were escorting in a CCTV camera footage.

Meanwhile, the Caloocan City Mayor Oscar Malapitan said that the city government authorities will conduct a thorough investigation in Delos Santos’ killing.

"Ang buong pagkakaalam ko, si Kian 'yun. Eh hindi natin ano eh, siguro kailangan mai-focus ng husto. Parallel investigation ang gagawin namin. Titingnan namin kung tama 'yung sinubmit na ebidensya ng mga pulis at ganon din ang findings ng ibang ahensya," Malapitan said.

According to the same report of 24 Oras, Caloocan City police Station 7 commander Chief Inspector Amor Cerillo, who was relieved from his post said that they had coordinated with Barangay officials before the night of anti-drugs operation.

Cerillo also added that he was only doing his job and vowed to prove his team’s innocence at the court.

Justice Secretary Vitaliano Aguiree II has ordered the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) to investigate the killing of Delos Santos.
