Lascañas: "The devil came in my dream"

The Senate Committee on Public Order and Dangerous Drugs took turns in questioning ex-policeman SPO3 Arturo Lascañas to shed some light about the so-called Davao Death Squad (DDS) lead by then Mayor of Davao City Rodrigo Duterte.

Senator Joseph Victor "JV" Ejercito noted that Lascañas recanted his previous statement that DDS did not exist after four of his proposals to do business with Davao City government got rejected.

Lascañas claimed that he undergone 'spiritual renewal" or moral awakening in late 2015 yet, he admitted that he lied about his earlier testimony.

The former policeman also narrated that the devil appeared to him in a dream then vanished in a child-like form.

“It looked and felt very real and when I woke up I saw a flashback of all the killings I’ve done,” Lascañas said.

On the other hand, Senator Panfilo Lacson told the reporters that Lascañas's testimony could no longer be used to accuse anyone.
